Healthy Ketchup

Ketchup

Makes 4 Pints

Ingredients

2 Mason Jars

2/4 ounces pitted dates

3 cups tomato puree

1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp water

1/4 cup plus 1 tsp white wine vinegar

4 tbsp tomato paste

1 garlic glove chopped

1 tsp onion powder

3/4 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp ground mustard

1/8 tsp ground cloves

1/8 tsp ground all spice

Directions

1. Place dates in a small bowel and cover with hot water. Soak for 15 minutes then dry.

2. Place all ingredients in blender until smooth for about 3 minutes.

3. Pour nntp saucepan and simmer on medium low for 30 minutes.

4. Let cool to room temperature, then place in airtight container and store in fridge.
